Alternative Payment through PCOE available for essential workers*, children with IEP's*, and children in foster care.

In 2018, Debbie McMannis, former director of Early Education for California, and Casey Johnson, M.A.  partnered to bring play-based learning to Lincoln. This mother-daughter duo are passionate about supporting young children and their families.

The play-based learning program is designed to meet the California State Standards (Foundations).​

Eco-Healthy Certified.  

Our Advanced Personalized Learning Approach build's confidence and competence.

Children are not required to be potty trained.

Reimagining Play Education

Lincoln Community Preschool is based on the science of learning. Learning occurs children are mentally active, engaged, socially active, and building meaningful connections to their lives. Lincoln Community Preschool follows The California Preschool Curriculum Framework. 

Lincoln Community Preschool connects intentional play activities to individualized child-centered goals. Lincoln Community Preschool is an inclusive learning environment encouraging the growth and development of children in their own time. The learning environment is also food-allergen-free, in addition to being Eco-Healthy Childcare Endorsed. 

Families are celebrated at Lincoln Community Preschool. There are many opportunities throughout the school year (July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020) for families to participate in additional activities, such as field trips, cook outs and parent education classes.

Individualized play-based learning experience!

Our preschool program is designed for all children ages 2-6.

 

We offer multiple sessions; a morning session from 9:00 - 12:00 and an afternoon session from 1:00- 4:00.

 

It is important to us for children and families to feel welcomed, nurtured and safe. Together, with children and families, we develop goals for your child's personal growth and development.

 

We utilize California's developmental tracking tool from early infancy to kindergarten entry. 

New! Private Transitional Kindergarten & Kindergarten

Lincoln Community Kindergarten (LCK) offers TK and K in a combined class specifically designed to strengthen a child's individualized learning through play.

LCK meets the California State Standards through play education.

Learning goals are met by specifically designed activities that leverage curricular content and goals through hands-on experiences.

What is parent participation?

Parents are the child's first teacher.  It is important for children to have positive and supportive relationships both with adults and peers. We encourage parents to participate one day per week for their child's class session.

What is play education?

Play education embraces the child's natural curiosity to learn and explore.  Children have the freedom to explore our indoor and outdoor environment.

What is the Personalized Learning Approach?

Our advanced Personalized Learning Approach supports your child's individual learning needs for school readiness and beyond. We work alongside parents to identify needs and services in the classroom and with local school districts.
